KARACHI – Sigh of relief for energy consumers, as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced further reductions in LNG prices for January.
The price for Sui Southern Gas system has been cut by $0.57 per MMBTU, while the Sui Northern Gas system will see a decrease of $0.50 per MMBTU. This brings new LNG price for Sui Northern to $10.41 per MMBTU, while Sui Southern consumers will now pay $10.21 per MMBTU.
The latest reduction follows similar trend from December, when OGRA had lowered LNG prices by up to 5.90%, signaling a continued effort to ease energy costs for households and industries across the country.
Experts say this latest adjustment could provide tangible relief on monthly gas bills, particularly for industrial consumers who rely heavily on LNG.
