RAWALPINDI – Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan revealed on Friday that he had been receiving complaints of interference by establishment in the judicial affairs.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the judicial complex e-courts in Rawalpindi, the chief justice said he had received letters, and oral complaints in this regard. He believed that the interference will come to an end sood but advised his subordinates to face such situation eye to eye and not to hesitate for sacrifice.

Justice Khan said he was happy that the judiciary was fulfilling its responsibility without any fear, adding: “We have to fight against it with faith and it will end”.

He said all these difficulties will end if there is fear of Allah.

“I have full faith that this interference of the establishment in the judiciary will end very soon,” Justice Ahmad asserted.

The chief justice’s comments came after six Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges wrote a letter Supreme Court on March 25, accusing officials of spy agencies of interference in judicial affairs.
