The Senate Functional Committee on Delegated Legislation on Tuesday has recommended the Ministry to upload the proposed rules and by laws on the official website of the law ministry and concerned Ministry.

The Senate Functional Committee on Delegated Legislation met today under the Chairmanship of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani here at the Parliament House and confirmed the minutes of the last meeting with the directions that while continuing the notification already being published in terms of new laws and rules, it is recommended that these rules must also be provided in access to the relevant stake holders through websites and also directed the ministry to prepare draft SOPs on the subject so that it can also be forwarded to the concerned ministries for approval and implementation.

The committee also recommended that the SOPs should include issuance of Press Release prior to the publication of the proposed rules for information for the general public. The committee also proposed two original copies of the constitution signed by all the members for having being displayed in both the Houses, owing to the fact that it is the work of the Parliament and holds a historical position.

The committee disposed of the agenda item pertaining to the distribution of work between the committee and sub-committee with the directions that the work of the committee will be distributed between two sub committees. The committee work will proceed in the alphabetical order of the Ministries; both the sub-committees will be headed by the former law ministers and members of the Committee.

The main committee will review the law and regulations of the devolved ministries being re-created by the Federal Governments.
