Time has come that an effective legislation on child abuse to be done in the country at federal and provincial level says speakers at the one day the sketch competition and seminar on child abuse which was held in AUST (Abbottabad University of Science & Technology) with the collaboration with Sungi Development Foundation.
The seminar main focus was on concrete policy formulation to culminate child abuse day by day increasing in the society. The participants of the seminar briefly discussed the implications and causes of child abuse. While addressing the seminar Ms. Marvi Sher Ali Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad told that proper awareness should be provided to the parents that they could prevent their children from any kind of abuse.
Mr. Shahid Aziz & Mr. Sabir Khan Yousafzai Regional Program Coordinators Sungi told that child abuse is burning issue now days and on daily basis we heard cases of child abuse in our country. He said; on daily basis 10 children are become victims of child abuse in Pakistan.
Mr. Dr. Rizwan Registrar AUST said that he is kind to Sungi for involving us for such as human Coues. He said; that in future AUST and Sungi will organize different programs on different level to create awareness among parents and general public. During the seminar it was also decided that AUST and Sungi will sing a Memorandum of Understanding and will take this Cause jointly.
