Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Saturday that citizens should pay federal taxes as well as local government taxes. This is the city that runs the country. If citizens support us, we won’t need to look towards the federal and Sindh governments. He stated this while presiding over a high-level meeting at the KMC head office on Saturday. On this occasion, MC, KMC Afzal Zaidi and heads of various departments were also present. Meeting reviewed the situation regarding rains in the city in detail. He said that rain is a blessing from Allah and not a nuisance. Large and small pumps are available for drainage of rainwater on all roads under KMC’s jurisdiction.
