Landikotal attracts tourists after snowfall

The first winter snow fall in Landikotal after almost seven years has doubled the cold in the area but the miseries of locals have also increased due to non-availability of electricity in Landikotal from last 48 hours.
According to locals the snow fall started early morning at 6:00 am on Sunday and the ground and surrounding mountains covered with the white blanket of snow which increased the beauty of the area.
As the snow fall started a large number of tourists from Peshawar and other parts of the districts Khyber rushed towards Landikotal on 27th and 28th December to enjoy the snow. A local Taj Akbar told the media that he has just received a phone call from his relatives in Peshawar that they were planning to visit Landikotal to enjoy the snow fall.
Many females with their family members have seen in Landikotal mountainous area who had come from Peshawar to enjoy snow. Locals said.
Meanwhile, the locals have complained that as the snow fall started the electricity in Landikotal has also disappeared which has increased the difficulties of the people.
Manzoor Ali Shinwari criticized the Landikotal grid station staff for hours long electricity load shedding in Landikotal and demanded the high ups to issue strict instructions to Tesco officials for suitable power supply to locals. It has also been observed that the sale of hot food stuff like fish and roasted chickens was also on rise at Landikotal bazar.
