Lahore receives light rain

LAHORE – Parts of Punjab including Lahore received rainfall of varying intensities on Sunday, making the weather pleasant. Experts have predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of rains for upper districts during the next two days.

Rainfall (mm): Bhakkar 18, Jhang 13, Faisalabad 12, Hafizabad, Joharabad, Sargodha 04, Okara, Sheikhupura, T T Singh 03, Lahore (City 02, Airport 01), Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, Kot Addu 02, Multan Airport, Kasur, Noor Pur Thal and Sahiwal 01

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the temperature reached 34 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 78 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 32 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 77 per cent.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province on Monday and Tuesday. Light rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Murree, Galyat and surroundings during the period.

Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 30-32 C on Monday and Tuesday.
