Lahore, Punjab weather update for weekend; rains, hailstorms expected

LAHORE – Rains with isolated hailstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Saturday and Sunday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely approach upper parts of the country tomorrow.
Under these weather conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in Potohar region on Sunday night. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the province.

On Saturday and Sunday, intermittent rains with hailstorms are expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali and surroundings.

Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Saturday and 34-36°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Multan remained the hottest places in Punjab where the maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ghazi Khan was recorded at 38°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 46 per cent.
