LAHORE – Traffic police in Lahore and other cities of Punjab have intensified crackdown against those who riding bikes or driving vehicles without a valid driving license.

The Punjab government has made the process of obtaining the driving license across the province to facilitate the citizens.
For obtaining a valid driving license, the applicant is required to get a learning permit. After completing a set duration of learner, citizens need to visit the nearby driving license centre to take theoretical and practical test.
The competent authority issues a valid driving license to the citizens after they passed the tests. A certain fee is also paid to get the license.

He said more than 60,000 citizens have been provided commercial driving licence facilities across Punjab during the current month. A traffic department spokesperson said more than 3,400 regular commercial driving licences have also been issued.
The DIG warned that strict action would continue against drivers operating goods and passenger vehicles without licences. He said drivers would not be allowed to put human lives at risk.
