KWSC finalizes preparations for Miladun Nabi celebrations

In line with the directives of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Karachi Water Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, the KWSC has completed all water supply and sewerage arrangements across the city for the upcoming Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations.

According to the KWSC Spokesperson, the KWSC is actively cooperating with district administration, elected representatives, and all relevant departments to ensure the smooth execution of the event.The KWSC has been in constant coordination with key religious leaders from organisations such as Anjuman Ghulaman Mustafa Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, As part of the preparations, all open manholes along the procession routes and near Mosques have been covered with slabs and lids to prevent sewer overflow.

Additionally, leaks on main roads and public spaces have been fixed to ensure the procession routes remain clean.In collaboration with district authorities and law enforcement agencies, water tankers are being provided along the procession routes and at mosques to meet the water requirements during the gatherings.

Despite the usual public holiday for Eid Milad-Un-Nabi, the KWSC staff will remain on high alert, Teams equipped with suction and jetting machines will be deployed across the city to address any issues promptly.The arrangements are being closely monitored by the Chief Engineer of water, Muhammad Ali Shaikh the Chief Engineer of sewerage Aftab Alam Chandio the Hydrants Cell Incharge EIahi Bux Bhutto and the Focal Person for the Hydrants Cell, Shehbaz Bashir.

The CEO KWSC said that making adequate arrangements for Eid Milad-Un-Nabi is a great privilege, He emphasised that no negligence would be tolerated, as providing the best facilities to the citizens is a top priority for the corporation.
