Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sindh, Information Secretary Khawaja Tariq Nazir has said that the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) is involved in criminal negligence and gross administrative incompetence.
In his statement on Monday, the PML-N leader said that the water board and tanker mafia nexus is proving dangerous for the citizens.
The water board has failed miserably in removing illegal hydrants and connections, replacing rotten lines and closing leaks, Nazir said.
He said that the water being provided to the citizens by the Karachi Water Board is also harmful to health.
He added that water board should introduce immediate metering system among industrial consumers. The PML-N leader urged the chief justice of Sindh High Court, local government and chief secretary to take notice and take necessary action.
