Kuwait has confirmed that Iran targeted a seawater desalination plant and a power station on Tuesday.
Kuwaiti authorities said it was the fourth such Iranian attack in the past four days.
In a statement posted on X, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said Iran’s continued aggression against the country had resulted in multiple power stations and desalination plants being targeted for a fourth consecutive day, causing fires to break out at several critical facilities.
Hours earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian military claimed they had once again targeted three US military bases located in Kuwait.
Bahrain and Jordan have claimed that they foiled Iranian attacks before reaching the targets.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior activated emergency sirens and urged residents to move immediately to the nearest safe location.
Before issuing the warning, Bahrain’s military said it had intercepted Iranian attacks before they reached their targets.
Jordan’s armed forces also announced that they had destroyed three Iranian missiles in the air on Tuesday.
Earlier, the Jordanian military said it had also shot down five drones launched from Iran.
According to Jordan’s military, there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the attacks.
Iran’s armed forces had earlier claimed to have launched attacks against Bahrain and Jordan.
The IRGC also claimed that its strikes in Jordan’s Rukban area had killed several US troops. The United States has not yet responded to the claim.
Meanwhile, the Iranian military said a drone strike had targeted the location of US forces stationed at Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base a few hours earlier.
