The Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, facilitated the distribution of appointment letters to 30 students from KU and other public sector universities in Sindh. The United Bank Limited (UBL) extended job offers to numerous students from the University of Karachi and other public universities in the province. This initiative was part of a two-day recruitment drive held at the KU SYM Professional Development
Center, attracting students from various universities. Both KU and United Bank Limited (UBL management agreed to include students from universities beyond Karachi in the recruitment drive.
Panel interviews were conducted by United Bank Limited (UBL management, where internships and job opportunities were offered to students on the spot. The newly appointed individuals received their job letters from Karachi University VC, Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi.
Professor Iraqi emphasized that such activities aim to enhance students’ skills for the corporate sector, providing them with valuable opportunities and encouraging them to utilize their talents effectively.
UBL Karachi University Campus Branch Manager, QuratulainKarim, highlighted that United Bank Limited (UBL) offers internship opportunities to University of Karachi students across different sections of the branch throughout the semesters. Newly appointed bankers will be assigned to serve in their native or nearby areas for their convenience.
Several faculty members and officials from different departments of the University of Karachi, including the Deans of various faculties and the Director of SYM Professional Development Center, were present during the distribution of appointment letters.
