The Department of Computer Science University of Karachi and IR Next signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to generate awareness on new technologies among students and faculty members here at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat on Tuesday.
The KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi and the Chairman IR Next Dr Khalid Mahmood inked the MoU documents.
While the Dean Faculty of Science Professor DrNasiraKhatoon, Director KU Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialization Professor Dr Aliya Rehman, the Chairman DCS Dr Nadeem Mahmood, Student Affairs Advisor Dr Syed Asim Ali and CEO of IR Next Shariq Hashmi and faculty members of the department of computer science were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, ProfessorDr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi expressed that we have to adopt the latest tools and technologies to meet the challenges and collaboration between academia and industry would play a vital role in this regard.
This MoU would form collaboration to carry out knowledge, awareness, research, and policy analysis on the development and implementation of industry 4.0 technologies including Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things, and others, and support the role of productive students, he added.
