Krunal Pandya returns to India

Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who first tested Covid positive in Sri Lanka is now Covid-19 negative and has returned home, it is learnt.

According to the sources in Srti Lanka, the 30-year-old Pandy left the hotel (Mount Lavinia) for a hotel on Wednesday morning to catch a flight for India.

Pandya had tested positive on July 27 and had to be isolated and the second T-20I match had to be postponed.

His immediate close contacts had also to be isolated and Shikhar Dhawan’s team played both the matches without the key players.

The other two covid positive players- Chahal and K. Gowtham are scheduled to give their PCR tests on Thursday and the immediate negative results will allow them to return to India.
