KP Govt, health officials visit Torkham

To assist and facilitate Afghan patients and medical tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber Pakhunkhwa government and health officials visited Pak Afghan border Torkham on Thursday and inspected various health facilities on zero point.

Official sources at Torkham said that secretary health and government inspected various section of Pak Afghan friendship hospital and vowed that more facilities would be provided to Afghan patients to receive proper treatment at Torkham.

A health official told that North West medical institute and Rehman medical institute officials were also present and they discussed medical treatment of Afghan patients at Torkham.

The private medical institution officials asked government officials that they can provide and facilitate medical treatment to Afghan patients at the border with the collaboration of government.

More medical facilities would be produced to facilitate the Afghan patients at zero point. Official sources said.

Sources in Torkham border told this scribe that health and other government officials issued strict instructions to staff and other personnel to follow SOPs of covid19 to help stop spreading this virus to others.

Local people, Afghan refugees representatives and traders on Torkham have applauded the government for this initiative to facilitate Afghan patients at Zero point Torkham.
