A 40-year-old man has lost his life due to excessive loss of blood after kite string slit his throat in Lahore on Sunday.
Victim Amir, belonging to Gujarpur, was going to Sadar Market from Mughalpura on motorcycle when the mishap occurred.
Earlier, more than 80 persons were arrested during police crackdown against kite flyers in different parts of Lahore. The action was launched on the instructions of DIG operations.
Police also recovered more than 2,000 kites and over 500 spools of kite string from the apprehended persons.
Police in a crackdown against kite sellers in the city arrested three people on Sunday. According to details, police seized about 300 kites and dozens of string rolls from the possession of the kite sellers.
Police have started inquiry against the kite sellers after registering a case against them. It is pertinent to mention that kite selling is banned across Lahore.
