A heart-wrenching incident unfolded at Dr. Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital as the parents of a newborn boy staged a protest when their infant mysteriously went missing from the nursery ward four days ago. According to the media reports, Riaz-ul-Hassan, a resident of Chak No 30-SB, had brought his newborn son to the District Teaching Hospital for essential treatment. After a thorough examination, hospital staff tagged the baby and transferred him to the nursery ward.

Distraught and anxious, the father inquired about his baby boy’s whereabouts, only to be informed that the child had disappeared from the hospital. The family promptly registered a case with the Factory Area police station to initiate investigations.

In an emotionally charged scene, parents and relatives gathered outside the hospital, blocking Khushab Road in protest. Their demands were simple but urgent: they wanted the police to recover the kidnapped child without delay and bring the kidnapper to justice.Medical Superintendent Dr. Younis Siddiqui assured that a special committee had been established to look into the matter.—INP
