According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents are continuously penetrating the upper and central parts of Pakistan.
A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during the next 24 hours.

More intermittent rains and windstorms are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Malakand, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Buner, Kohat, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Peshawar, Mardan, Hangu, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Waziristan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Isolated heavy downpours are also likely during the forecast period.
Impacts
Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Peshawar and Nowshera.
Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas of Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra, Shangla, Galyat and Abbottabad.
Widespread rains may trigger flash floods in local streams and nullahs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Daytime temperatures in Peshawar are expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
