Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh Assembly Khurram Sherzaman along with a delegation arrived at the head office of Sui Gas. Qureshi and others were present, in the meeting with MD Sui Gas; other technical issues were discussed including lack of gas load shedding pressure in Karachi.
On this occasion, Khurram Sherzaman said in a conversation with the media outside the Sui Gas office that the problems of gas shortage and pressure are increasing in the city, brutal increase in gas prices, load shedding at homes, CNG stations and industrial establishments as well. They are worried, with the arrival of winter, the gas pressure starts to decrease and stop.
He said that due to the closure of CNG stations and industries, unemployment is increasing, the provincial ombudsman has piles of complaints regarding needle gas, there is no citizen in the city, who has access to gas. After the imported government, there is a shortage of gas. Karachi has the largest population. The worst performance in Pakistan has been Murad Ali Shah. Today, he has not been able to solve the energy issues. During our time, 600 megawatts of electricity was added to the electricity system here by the federal government
While criticize on government Sherzaman said that loadshedding of electricity and gas is being done in winter. The federal government is failing badly in fulfilling its promises. We managed LNG during our tenure, PDM failed to improve the economy, the MD assured, but I don’t think gas will be available. The provincial and federal government should solve the problem of gas in the city on an emergency basis, PTI is always ready to serve Karachi.
On local bodies election he said that the mayor will be announced by PTI in Karachi by tomorrow. 2023 will be the year of PTI.
