KE ruined Karachiites lifestyle: Naveed Jameel

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi’s protest against K-Electric enters fourth day as along with PTI MNAs and MPAs, MQM Pakistan delegation also joined the protest to express solidarity and support. Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Muhammad Hussain and others were there from MQM’s delegation.Opposition leader Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that it was the prime responsibility of K-Electric to provide uninterrupted electric supply to the citizens but it has failed to do so. Commercial areas of the city are closed and 33 percent of the electric demand of the city is decreased.He asked from the authorities that why there was no power plant installed in all these years. This mismanagement is a gift of Asif Zardari to Karachi. He demanded from the PM to send a Minister to Karachi and resolve the issue at the earliest. He requested the Prime Minister to resolve the grievances of Karachites.”The business sector of the city is trembling, NEPRA has to respond on the tariff issue, whole Pakistan should have a same tariff” He added that PTI is a democratic party where every worker has a right to raise voice against any injustice. Audit of all funds of K Electric must be done. MQM Pakistan’s leader Kanwar Naveed Jameel also talked to the media and expressed solidarity with the PTI’s protest against K-Electric. He said that K-Electric has ruined the lifestyle of Karachites. Karachites get expensive electricity as compared to the other part of the country.He demanded to public the agreement with K-Electric and also announced to stage a protest in Islamabad.
