Chairman of Kohistan development Foundation KDF and social leader Dr Lakmir Pallari said that situation of education in Kohistani belt has been disastrous and the children are being forced to collect livestock instead of going to schools due to frequent school closures.
He said his team is working to uplift education of this area and has provided furniture and other facilities to the closed schools and made them functional, but he regretted over the education department officials and elected figures said they have done nothing and are turning deaf ear on this main issue.
Holding responsible to district government he said it is hands in gloves with others and seemed unwilling to heed despite the repeated crys of kohistani people. He said following constant failure of the education department they have opened close schools and initiated teaching operations in areas by their own expenses.
