KATI shows concern over fuel price hike

Leadership of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) expressed concern over hike in petroleum prices. In a joint statement President KATI Danish Khan, Senior Vice President Faraz-ur-Rehman and Vice President Maheen Salman demanded reversal of petroleum prices. President Danish Khan said that Industries and SMEs sector already facing deep problems regarding production cost and cost of doing business, hiked fuel prices would enhance the pressure on these sectors.
He was of view that despite low prices in international market recent hike in the fuel prices was not justified. He urged PM Imran Khan to bring down rate of taxes and levies for the sake of relief to common people of the country. Danish Khan further said that fuel hike was also causing damage to exports related industry while local expenditures of the industry would increase with current rates of petroleum products. He demanded PM Khan to revise the decision.
