KATI lauds Sindh’s tax-free budget

Patron in Chief of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) SM Muneer and President Sheikh Umer Rehan applauded Sindh Government for a tax free provincial budget. SM Muneer said that in current situation CM Murad Ali Shah has given a balanced budget and we welcome it.
He said that increased allocations for Social security, education and public health in provincial budget should be applauded. He said that CM Sindh played a vigilant role to curb the pandemic in the province and budget presented by him also represents his efforts and focus on current crisis.
President KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan applauded the provincial government for special allocations to fight back the locust attacks which is also one of the biggest challenges to the food security of the country.
He urged government to introduce incentives and special packages to small business and industry. He said that in past few years CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah has taken some good steps for the development of industrial infrastructure in Karachi, this should be continuing in current situation too. He also said that in these challenging times the importance of agriculture sector more important and vital for us and government should bring it to the top priorities.
He further said that Karachi is the largest revenue generating city of the country and the province but not any development scheme for the city was announced in the provincial budget, “we express our concerns over this matter”, he added.
