THE Pulwama concoction by India followed by merger of India-occupied Kashmir and Muslim-dis criminating IndianCitizenshipAct courtesyNarendra Modi’s faux pas have brought the Kashmir issue alive, besides its own public now beginning to rubbish customary Indian leadership’s blame game against Pakistan, amply demonstrated by stoic comment from noted Indian analysts and the common Indian taking to the streets protesting against the Chae Wala’s anti-secular moves defacing India. Adil Ahmad Dar aged 20 badly beaten up by Indian troops five years ago without a reason in India-occupied Kashmir had sworn to avenge Indian atrocities, emerged from a narrow lane and rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into the paramilitary convoy taking a heavy toll and embarrassing the eight hundred thousand-strong Indian Army deployed against freedom-seeking Kashmiris. India within minutes blamed Pakistan and its public followed its falsehood without rationalizing how a vehicle with tons of Indian-made explosives could conveniently cross a heavily guarded multi-layered barbed fence erected by India across the LoC and find its way to challenge the Indian Army contingent deep inside the IoK; an impossibility. Acclaimed Indian writer Arundhati Roy hinted at the false flag operation by India itself when she said in her interview with ‘Democracy now’ and I quote: “Pulwama really is a big question mark and we need to understand what actually happened because in Kashmir there have been many false flag attacks.” Hinting at the Indian blame, she said “I don’t even know what Jaish-eMohammad is anymore” suggesting that the alleged involvement of the group was false since it was no longer heard of in Kashmir. India clearly was badly hurt over Adil Dar’s motivation whenitslocal military commander choseto warnMuslim mothers in occupied Kashmir that their sons picking up arms would be killed if they did not lay down their weapons and join the mainstream for the sake of their future. This reflected the pathetic mindset of a frustrated IndianArmy. Using a Sikh Commander to televise the empty threat was also a vain attempt to establish allegiance of the increasingly alienated Sikh community with Hindutva-obsessed India exploitingitsminorities whenin need buttreating them like dirt after use. India forgets that Burhan Wanis andAdil Dars, who are countless by now in India-occupied Kashmir, have become immune to such threats; with them and their families having gone through the worst when simply agitating for their right to live by choice and at best only pelting stones in response to bullets, pallet spraying guns, dear ones abducted, tortured and killed, and their mothers and sisters raped amid over six-month continuing curfew. With fear no longer their weakness and the world conscience refusing to awaken for political expediencies, this generation in India-occupied Kashmir has itself resolved to break loose of this largest prison on earth manned by nearly a million fatigued and frustrated Indian soldiers. They were now freedom fighters waging their indomitable struggle against State terrorism by India, as are the Afghan Taliban fighting alien forces to vacate their homeland. It was time the world made distinction between freedom fighters and terrorists. Avi Dandiya’s revelation of the sinister plot of BJP Governmentin financing a non-state actorto stage Pulwama by attacking and emotionally exploiting the Army sentiment pushing them into military confrontation with Pakistan simply corroboratedArundhati’s view;thankstoModi’s misadventure nevertheless, which had enlivened the Kashmir issue like never before and which is why the Pakistani Prime Minister had stated that he hoped Modi returned to officeto eventually resolve Kashmir ‘by continuing his faux pas’; Imran most likely meant. It is perhaps for the first time that India has had to face the flak of its misadventure even at home. Modi looked pathetic blaming his own people not just from the opposition but discerning men of eminence including jurists and analysts who had asked for proof of his phony surgical strikes and triumphant claims against Pakistan. But his laments over the absence of French combat aircraft in the Indian fleet in the dual, is by itself an implicit admission of embarrassing reverses suffered by his highly touted armed forces at the hands of Pakistan in just one encounter; reliving the 1965 war PAF dominance. The hallucinating Indian Premier and his deputies in uniform hurling empty threats every now and then need to be reminded that it is not just superior weaponry but the level of preparedness, resolve forthe supreme sacrifice and the urge for martyrdom, which makes a Force superior to its adversary. This time India after its miscalculated plunge and the promised response, was made to eat the humble pie also on the communication and diplomatic fronts, besides earning a terrible Press at home and abroad and generating a series of jokes over its phony claims which were promptly debunked. India has of late suffered one reversal after another; its failed bid requiring action against Pakistan by the ICC, followed by the then Indian FM Sushma Swaraj falling foul of the OIC invitation as its special guest; embarrassed with a unanimous Resolution by the OIC FM’s Moot condemning the February 2019 Indian aggression against Pakistan and its State-sponsored terrorism against Kashmiris while demanding of India to concede the right of self-determination to the State of Kashmir. But sadly instead of an all-out diplomatic offensive and presenting to the UN documentary evidence of Indian acts of State terrorism and subversion against Pakistan as revealed by Kulbhushan, and moving the world capitals and the UN Security Council against the February 2019 Indian violation of Pakistan’s airspace, demanding of the UN to condemn Indian aggression and a thorough probe into the Indian allegation against Pakistan over Pulwama in order to nail the Indian lies which it was accustomed to manufacturing, Pakistan barely laments that the World Body did not even mention Indian excesses in Kashmir in its report on Human Rights Violations, which dared Modi to unilaterally move for merger of the disputed territory. —The writer is a media professional, member of Pioneering team of PTV and a veteran ex Director Programmes
