A webinar, in connection with Kashmir Black Day, was organized by “Okja”, an organization of journalists from occupied Jammu and Kashmir based in Rawalpindi and Islamabad in Islamabad.

The title of the webinar was “76 years of India’s usurpation of Jammu and Kashmir and our role and responsibilities in the freedom movement.”

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter leader AltafHussainWani, Kashmiri scholar DrWaleedRasool, Dr Ashraf Wani and others spoke on the occasion.

The speakers said the Kashmiri people will never compromise on their right to self-determination, adding everyone’s role is indispensable to liberate the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the illegal Indian occupation.

They said that October 27, 1947 was the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir when the Indian troops occupied it against the aspirations of its people.

They demanded of the United Nations and other international human rights organizations to help stop Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute.
