The All Parties Hurriyat Conference associated parties have said that the freedom-loving people of occupied Kashmir have rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the sacred cause of Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-associated parties, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and Jammu and Kashmir National Front have stressed for early resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
They said the Kashmiris’ resistance struggle is a legitimate movement aimed at getting rid of India’s illegal and forcible occupation through a peaceful and democratic formula of right to self-determination. The people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are proud of Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth, who are either in jails or striving on ground for securing a peaceful and sustainable solution to the Kashmir dispute under UN resolutions, they maintained.
The parties also condemned the continued cordon and search operations and house raids being carried out by the Indian forces and other agencies during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations which have been prohibited by the Indian Hindutva fascist regime.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) Chairman Maulana Musaib Nadvi in a party meeting in Srinagar while urging release of illegally detained party leader Umar Adil Dar and Asif Ali said India cannot suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people through illegal detentions, arrests and harassment.
He appealed to the United Nations and international human rights organizations to put pressure on India to release all Kashmiri political detainees, including Hurriyat leaders and activists lodged in different jails of India and the occupied territory.
He said despite continued detention and physical and mental torture, the morale of all Hurriyat leaders and activists was high and they were ready to render every kind of sacrifice for the Kashmir cause.
He also appealed to the international human rights organizations to help release the jailed Kashmiris and settle the Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions.—KMS
