Kashmiri journalists based in Islamabad and Rawal-pindi have said that they will continue to raise their voice for the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir through the media platforms.
They said this while addressing a function or-ganized at a hotel in Rawalpindi in the honour of journalist, Muhammad Ashraf Wani, on completing his PhD. Ashraf Wani hails from occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers on the occasion praised the deter-mination of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle for securing their right to self-determination.
Wani achieved the doctorate degree in peace journalism analyzing the media coverage of conflicts between Pakistan and India. At the end of the programme, special prayers were held for the martyrs of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.—KMS
