KARACHI – Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday. Hot and humid weather is expected in coastal areas and isolated rains in upper districts.
Per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating upper/central parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave also prevails over upper/central parts.
Under these weather conditions, very hot weather is expected in most upper districts of the province and hot and humid in coastal areas on Wednesday night and the following two days. Dust raising winds/ windstorms are likely in southern/central districts during afternoon. Windstorm/thunderstorm with isolated rain is likely in Sukkur, Ghotki, Kashmore and Jacobabad during evening/night.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Thursday and 34-36°C on Friday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.
Dadu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46°C. Maximum temperature in Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 45°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 49 per cent.
