Karachi, Sindh weather update; gusty winds predicted

KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly hot and dry weather with gusty/dust-raising winds for Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh on Sunday evening/night, Monday and Tuesday.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over northern parts of the country.

Under these conditions, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh on Sunday evening/night and the following two days. Gusty/dust-raising winds are expected in the afternoon.

Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 36-38 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 39-41 C on Monday and 40-42 C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in the port city, Hyderabad and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Nawabshah, Mohenjo-Daro and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43 C.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 71 per cent.

In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 64 per cent.
