Intermittent rains and strong winds with isolated heavy downpours are predicted in Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh on Monday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a low-pressure area lies over Southeast Rajasthan & adjoining north Gujarat. It is likely to move further west-southwestward during the next 24 to 36 hours.
A westerly wave is also affecting upper and central parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains and strong winds with isolated heavy downpours are predicted in Tharparkar, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Mithi, Hyderabad, Nowshera Feroze, Tando Jam, Thatta and Karachi on Monday night and the next two days.
Isolated hailstorms are also expected during the forecast period.
Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Islamkot, Mithi, Umerkot, Thatta, and Badin.
Windstorm, hailstorm & lightning may damage weak structures like solar panels, electric poles, billboards.
Karachi’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 37°C and 39°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 38°C and 40°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Over the past 24 hours, mainly hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the province. However, rains occur at isolated places in lower Sindh.

Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 40°C with evening humidity at 65 per cent.
Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 40°C with morning humidity at 35 per cent.
