Karachi Likely To Experience Hot Humid Weather With Light Drizzle

KARACHI – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi over the next 24 hours, while predicting gusty winds and light drizzle in isolated parts of the city.

The weather advisory said that daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C, with high humidity likely to make conditions feel warmer than the actual temperature.

The Met Office said the city’s humidity level currently stands at 75 percent, contributing to the muggy weather. Meanwhile, sea breezes are continuing to blow at a speed of 18 kilometres per hour, providing some relief from the heat.

The department also indicated that strong winds may occur in some areas, while light drizzle is expected at a few locations during the forecast period.

The residents have been advised to take necessary precautions against the hot and humid conditions, stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak afternoon hours.

The weather pattern is expected to remain largely unchanged throughout the day, with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of brief spells of drizzle in isolated neighbourhoods. Authorities are monitoring the situation and will issue further updates if there is any significant change in weather conditions.
