KARACHI – Cold and dry weather persisted in Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh on Thursday with experts predicting the same conditions to persist during the week.
Mithi remained the coldest place in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 01 degrees Celsius.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 91 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C, making Thursday the coldest day of current season.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 51 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 74 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in upper districts of Sindh which disturbed traffic on inter and intra-city roads.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of the province on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.
Fog update for Sindh
Dense fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan during morning and night hours.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 11-13 C on Friday and 10-12 C on Saturday.
In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 09-11 C on Friday and 08-10 C on Saturday.
