KARACHI – Cold and dry weather prevailed in Karachi and most parts of Sindh on Wednesday with experts predicting the similar conditions to persist during the next two days.
Mohenjo-Daro and Mithi remained the coldest places in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 04 degrees Celsius.
In Mohenjo-Daro, relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 49 per cent.
In Mithi, relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 23 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 C, making Wednesday the coldest day of current season.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 21 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in upper districts which disturbed normal vehicular movement on inter and intra-city roads from night to morning.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Karachi and most parts of the province on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.
Fog update for Sindh
Dense fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan during morning and night hours.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 11-13 C on Thursday and Friday.
