KARACHI—On Sunday, Karachi experienced its coldest day of the winter season, with a temperature of 09°C.
Cold and dry weather will continue on Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most parts of Sindh.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan, and a shallow westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, mainly cold and dry weather will continue to persist in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh on Sunday night and the next two days.
Fog/smog (in patches) is expected in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, and surroundings during the night and morning hours.
Karachi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 09-11°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Hyderabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 10-12°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. Fog prevailed in upper districts.
Mohenjo-Daro remained the coldest place in Sindh where the temperature dropped to 02°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 92 percent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 09°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 49 percent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 10°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 70 percent.
