KARACHI – A K2 Airways cargo aircraft en route from Sharjah to Karachi first disappeared from radar over the Gulf, prompting search operation by Pakistan Air Force and Navy.
The K2 Airways Flight KTA-1732 lost contact approximately 300 kilometers from Karachi, about 155 nautical miles west of the city, while approaching Pakistan’s airspace. Sources said the crew reported a navigation-related problem during the flight and requested heading assistance from Air Traffic Control (ATC). The aircraft was reportedly instructed to maintain its existing course.
Flight data shows the aircraft suddenly turned to the right before entering a rapid descent. The descent rate was reportedly recorded at around 15,000 feet per minute, raising concerns over a possible in-flight emergency.

Despite repeated attempts by ATC to establish communication, no further response was received from the cockpit. Moments later, the aircraft disappeared from radar.
The missing aircraft has been identified by sources as K2 Airways Flight KTA-1732, a cargo service operating from Sharjah to Karachi. It was reportedly a Boeing 734 registered as AP-BOI.

Authorities are expected to launch an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. As of now, no official statement has confirmed that the aircraft crashed or provided details regarding the crew or any casualties.
