Prominent businessman Junaid Naqi has been elected unopposed as the new President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), ushering in a new phase of leadership for the influential industrial body. Alongside Naqi, Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh has been chosen as Senior Vice President, and Syed Tariq Hussain as Vice President, solidifying a strong leadership team for 2024.
Deputy Patron-in-Chief of KATI, ZubairChhaya, congratulated the newly elected office bearers, expressing appreciation for the work of outgoing President JoharQandhari and previous leaders who contributed to KATI’s progress.
Chhaya voiced confidence in Naqi’s leadership, stating that he believed the association’s upward momentum would continue under Naqi’s stewardship. In his farewell speech, JoharQandhari praised Junaid Naqi’s leadership abilities, noting his potential to further improve the Korangi Industrial Area and contribute positively to the local economy.
He highlighted Naqi’s dedication and strategic vision, emphasizing the critical role he will play in advocating for the business community. Upon his election, Junaid Naqi expressed gratitude to Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer, ZubairChhaya, and other senior members for their support and trust. He pledged to carry forward the vision of the late SM Munir, a key figure in KATI’s history, and committed to working hard for the industrialists of Korangi. Naqi emphasized his focus on improving infrastructure and resolving key issues faced by the industrial sector.
The association’s senior leadership and members expressed their confidence in Naqi’s ability to lead effectively, with many expecting him to tackle the current challenges faced by KATI.
