Jumani assures ABAD of issues redressal

Caretaker Provincial Minister for Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Rehabilitation Muhammad MubeenJumani has said that the interim government wants to complete all the legal stalled works in SBCA within 15 days and the steps taken by the caretaker provincial government should be visible to the general public.MubeenJumani chaired a meeting with the delegation of Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) at his office on Wednesday.

The delegation led by Patron in Chief MohsinSheikhani included Chairman Abad AsifSumsum, SufyanAdhia, former Chairman Altaf Tai, Senior Vice Chairman Ibrahim Habib, ZeeshanSiddiqui, HanifGohar, Mustafa Sheikhani, HasanBakshi, YounusLakhani, NasirLakhani, Amir Thara, MehmoodTaba and others. Additional Chief Secretary Sindh Manzoor Sheikh, DG Sindh Building Control Authority IshaqKhuhro, DG KDA, DG MDA, DG LDA, Senior Director Sindh Master Plan, MD Water Corporation and other officers also attended the meeting.

MubeenJumani said that MDA, KDA and LDA will be included in the governing body and a joint survey of these institutions regarding development in LDA, KDA and MDA will be completed in 15 days and a report will be submitted.On Abad’s concerns, the interim minister directed SBCA officials that the verification of the title should be done immediately with a report to submit at ABAD within seven days.

“We want that the steps taken by the caretaker provincial government should to be visible to the general public and we will try to remove obstacles in the way of all legitimate work for the stakeholders associated with the construction industry,” Jumani said. Caretaker Provincial Minister Muhammad MubeenJumani further said that the allegations are being made against us or officials through social media and other platforms. “I want to make it clear that I have never been afraid of such elements before nor will I be in the future.”

Headded.Jumani said that we have made the WhatsApp number has been made public including Abad, if any obstruction in any legitimate work, then they should send the complaints with evidence.Patron in Chief ABAD, MohsinSheikhani said that the effects of the steps taken by this caretaker provincial government are visible and the process should continue.

He said that as of today there are difficulties in issuing completion certificates of many of our buildings, but DG SBCA has assured full cooperation on this. MohsinSheikhani assured the minister that ABAD will not support any illegal demand from its members.Chairman Abad AsifSumsum said that ABAD would extend all possible support to make the system clean and transparent in SBCA and other departments and its impact on the industry to be positive.

Chairman ABAD appreciated the minister’s effort for forming a committee of ABAD in MDA, KDA, LDA, SBCA and other departments and for including Abad in their governing body.
