JUI leader blames Sindh govt of Rs70b corruption on purchase of flour

Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sindh province Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro has said that JUI will take full part in the local body elections of Karachi and Hyderabad division like other districts of Sindh with the help of people in Karachi and Hyderabad division. Will also give a surprise.

He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of the General Council of JUI West District and the opening ceremony of the District Secretariat in Jamia Morzum Uloom Manghopir. On this occasion, Central Spokesman Muhammad Aslam Ghori, Mufti Mehmood Academy Director Muhammad Farooq Qureshi, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid, Qari Muhammad Usman, Maulana Dr. Naseeruddin Swati, Maulana Muhammad Ghayas, Maulana Samiul Haque Swati, Maulana Syed Hamadullah Shah, Mufti Muhammad Khalid, Engineer Muhammad Salim, Maulana Muhammad Naseeb Mengal and others also addressed.

Condemning the artificial crisis of flour in Sindh, Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro said that corruption was done in the field of wheat to the tune of 70 billion rupees due to which flour is being sold at 150 rupees per kg, which the poor cannot buy if the price of flour is 65 rupees. If rupees per kilo are not provided, the Chief Minister will surround the house. In just one year, the Sindh government has bought 1 crore 2 million bags of wheat. It is a pity that in just one year, 45 to 70 billion rupees are spent on buying and selling the same. Corruption was done.

JUI Sindh Secretary General Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro has started a public communication campaign in the districts of Karachi and Hyderabad division in connection with the preparations for the second phase of local body elections.

He took reports from the representatives participating in the local body elections and expressed his satisfaction.

He said that the officials of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam should speed up the public communication campaign and convey the message of the Jamiat from house to house. JUI will not allow anyone to hijack local elections.

He said that only fair and transparent elections can take the future of the country in the right direction. What happened in the 2018 elections plunged the country into the quagmire of economic collapse after the 1970 elections.

He clarified that the country cannot afford more experiments. He urged the officials of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam that on the day of the election, we have to keep a close eye on all the stages of polling as well as evacuating the people, so that no force can influence any stage of the election.
