The JamiatUlema-e-Islam-F and MuttahidaQaumi Movement-Pakistan on Thursday decided to go together in alliance against the Pakistan People’s Party in Sindh. The development came after a meeting of a JUI-F delegation led by Maulana Rashid MehmoodSoomro, with the MuttahidaQaumi Movement-Pakistan Rabita Committee at their temporary headquarters in Karachi’s Bahadurabad. MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener DrFarooqSattar said while addressing the media that his party, JUI-F, Grand Democratic Alliance have decided to “free people of Sindh from the clutches of the PPP”.

“We have decided not to let Sindh card work anymore. The JUI-F has the political force in rural Sindh, we will together remind the landlords and feudal of their times and beat the PPP’s policy of hatred and nationalism,” Sattar said. He said that the allied parties would erase the misconception of the people in rural Sindh that they do not have an alternative leadership. “The new political alliance is ready to serve the people of Sindh.”  JamiatUlema-e-Islam-F’s Soomro said that it has been agreed in the meeting that the three parties will not fight for any one ethnicity but will fight for everyone from Karachi to Kashmore.

He also called upon the Election Commission of Pakistan to address the JUI-F, MQM-P and GDA’s reservations on transfers, appointments and delimitation of constituencies.”If the reservations are not removed, we will decide the future course of action together,” he added.
