Jamiat Ulama Islam and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have announced separate initiatives to combat election rigging in Pakistan.
JUI-F’s head Maulana Fazlur Rehman disclosed plans for a nationwide movement against electoral malpractices, scheduled to commence after Eid-ul-Fitr. The movement, starting from Sindh, will traverse through provinces, culminating in Islamabad, with Fazlur Rehman leading the charge.

In parallel, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf declared intentions to form a grand alliance against rigging. Asad Qaiser, a PTI leader, emphasized their commitment to contesting alleged fraudulent mandates, asserting their support for Mahmood Khan Achakzai in the presidential election. This move is seen as a gesture towards Balochistan, aiming to address the region’s challenges.

Barrister Gohar, a prominent figure within PTI, reiterated the party’s dedication to peaceful political struggle within constitutional bounds.
