Journalist dies while ‘giving a live beeper’

A private TV channel’s reporter Shabbir Hussian succumbed to cardiac arrest Monday while giving “a live beeper” outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The news of Shabbier Hussain’s death spread like wildfire as he was a young, 38-year old journalist known for his dedication and professional commitment to work. Shabbir is survived by a widow, three daughters and two sons, all in their teens.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Muslim Colony Ground, Imam Baree Sharif and later his body was taken to his ancestral village in Skardu Gilgit Baltistan.

According to his family members, Shabbir Hussain was feeling pain in his chest in the morning and was sweating exorbitantly as well.

Federal Health Minister Abduld Qadir Patel and Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in a message, expressed condolence over death of Shabbir Hussain and termed it a loss for the family and the entire journalist community.The government stands by the aggrieved family of Shabbir Hussain, said Information Minister adding he was a thorough professional.
