Security measures have been finalized by the Pakistan Rangers Sindh to ensure the peaceful conduct of local body elections. In this regard, a flag march was also conducted in different areas of Karachi and Hyderabad by the Rangers along with the police.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the flag march was held in Karachi area Hub River Road, Baldia, Golimar Chowrangi, Disco Mor, Nagan Chowrangi, Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi, Malir Model Colony, Gadap Road, University Road, Nipa Chowrangi, Hasan Square, Al Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, Bilawal Chowrangi, Boot Basin Chowrangi, Defence, Clifton, Shaheen Complex Chowrangi, Ziauddin Ahmed Road, II Chandragarh Road, Chakiwara Road, MA Jinnah Road, Tariq Road, Shahrah Faisal and adjoining areas were done.
According to the spokesman, the police and Rangers also conducted a joint flag march in the three divisions of District Central, New Karachi Division, Gulberg Division and Liaquatabad Division, which was supervised by the SPs of the three divisions. The flag march in Liaquatabad division passed through Liaquatabad Golimar Razvia Nazimabad Papushnagar and other important highways and ended at Liaquatabad.
While the flag march started from Godhra in New Karachi Division, passing through New Karachi Bilal Colony Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Sir Syed Nagan UP Morr ended at New Karachi Industrial Area. The flag march in Gulbarg Division passed through North Nazimabad Federal B Area Board Office Hydari KDA Karimabad Ayesha Manzil and ended at Gulbarg.
Sachal Rangers and police of 12 police stations of Malir participated in the flag march in Malir district. The participants of the flag march reached Ghagar Phatak through Shahrah Faisal, National Highway.
A flag march was also held in most of the areas of Sukhan, Shah Latif Town, Gulshan-e-Hadid and Malir. The flag march which started from Star Gate on Shariah Faisal ended in Quaidabad.
It should be noted that Police, Rangers and FC are being deployed for local body elections in Malir district.In Hyderabad, flag marches were held at Fateh Chowk, Qasimabad, Thandi Sadak, Latifabad, Auto Bhan Road, Haider Chowk, Pakka Qila, Phalili, Burns Road, Hala Naka, Qasim Chowk, Rani Bagh, and Sadar Press Club.On the other hand, in order to maintain effective law and order during the election, search and combing operations were conducted by Rangers and police in various areas. In which many criminals were arrested and weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
