The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front has received positive responses from many G20 member countries for the letter sent to them regarding their proposed working group meeting in Srinagar hosted by India.

The JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar in a statement issued in Islamabad said most of the member countries while expressing their concern have written that we are looking into the matter seriously and a few of them have expressed their limitations.

He said the JKLF has also welcomed China on announcing her pulling out from proposed G-20 working group meeting hosted by India in Srinagar, the capital city of Indian held Jammu Kashmir. He, on behalf of people of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his gratitude to Chinese government on reiterating their official stand that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed State and that hosting of G20 working group meeting by India in Srinagar is illegal and uncalled for.

The spokesman appealed to the rest of G20 member countries to follow the suit and help resolve the internationally recognized issue of Jammu and Kashmir for the sake of peace and stability in the region and for the sake of resumption of human rights of people.

Meanwhile, JKLF acting chairman Raja Haqnawaz Khan in a statement reiterated party’s protest strike call from across the Line of Control on 22nd and 23rd May against India for hosting G20 meeting in the disputed territory.

He again appealed to people from both sides of LoC to peacefully express their dismay over the inhuman and undemocratic attitude of government of India against the people of Kashmir who are struggling for freedom of their motherland.

He said it is in the interest of both India and Pakistan to accept the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir so that they are able to decide about their fate.
