AmeerJamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, chaired a crucial meeting at the Noor-e-Haq Institute on Wednesday, discussing preparations and arrangements for the upcoming “Gaza Solidarity Night” scheduled for Saturday, March 30.
The meeting focused on organizing large-scale arrangements for citizens’ participation, including families, to express unity with Gaza and condemn Israel’s aggression and terrorism. Relief funds for Gaza will be collected, and boycotts of Israeli products will be promoted during the event.
Jamaat-e-Islami announced the establishment of camps in major thoroughfares, markets, shopping centers, and residential areas across the city to collect donations for Palestinian relief. Additionally, camps will be set up on Thursday, March 28, and Friday, March 29, at prominent locations and public spaces in the city.
The meeting emphasized engaging with scholars from all schools of thought and organizing rallies for youth under the banner of JI Youth. Committees were formed to ensure all preparations and arrangements for the “Gaza Solidarity Night” are completed promptly. Hafiz NaeemurRehman addressed the gathering, stating that while our rulers may overlook the plight of Gaza, it’s our duty as Muslims to raise our voice for the freedom of Jerusalem and the steadfastness of Gaza and Palestine.
He urged Karachi’s citizens to participate wholeheartedly in the Gaza Solidarity Night on Saturday, March 30, along with their families, contribute generously to the Palestine Relief Fund, and boycott Israeli products. Relief activities for Gaza are ongoing, with a relief setup established near the Rafa Crossing and several relief convoys already dispatched.
Hafiz Naeem highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, where Israel continues its relentless bombing even during the holy month of Ramadan. He condemned Israel’s siege of hospitals and the targeting of innocent children, women, and the elderly. He also criticized the silence of our rulers, who are complicit in the crimes of America and Israel.
