Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar has categorically rejected Rs3.3 per unit hike in electricity tariff as well as the dollar based power generation tariff for the K-Electric.

He said that the National Electric Power Regularity Authority (NEPRA) has been acting as just a rubber stamp for the K-Electric.
He said that as always Rs3.3 has been increased to the KE tariff in the name of fuel adjustment for the month of July, 2024. He was of the view that a forensic audit of the KE would surely reveal the misdeeds on part of the KE.
