Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar inaugurated a model street and a park in Karachi’s FC Area, here on Wednesday.The model street was named after the late deputy Town NazimLiaquatabad, Syed Shahabuddin, whereas the park was entitled as Tipu Sultan Park.The JI leader also visited a camp in the same town, set up in connection with the Solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon Week. Town Chairman Abdul Haseeb and other JI leaders were accompanying MonemZafar.Speaking on the occasion, Zafar said that the entire Muslim Umma will have to get united in order to refrain Israel from further terrorism.It is the high time for Pakistani and other Muslim leaders to shun the apologetic and cowardice approach towards Israeli aggression in the region, he said.The JI leader appealed to Karachiites to come forward and join the JI’s million march on October 6 at Shahrah-e- Faisal at 3pm to propagate the message of solidarity with Palestinians and other victims of Israeli brutalities.
He also stressed the need to put pressure on rulers to support the Palestinian freedom fighters. He said that Israel would expand the scope of its terrorism, if the Zionist regime in Israel is not pushed back with joint efforts.Talking about the local issues, he said that the team JI has been making tremendous efforts to restore the past glory of Karachi despite very limited resources.
