WASHINGTON – Renowned American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has once again found herself entangled in a legal dispute.
The international media reports said that photographer Edwin Blanco and the photo agency Backgrid have filed a lawsuit against Lopez, accusing her of sharing copyrighted images on social media without permission.
The lawsuit states that the photos in question were taken during the Golden Globes weekend.
Lopez later posted them on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “GG Weekend Glamour,”.
The plaintiffs claim that the images were used for commercial purposes, aimed at promoting Lopez’s personal brand and her business partnerships. The photos were subsequently re-shared by numerous fan accounts and fashion pages, amplifying their reach.
The legal documents revealed that the lawsuit seeks damages of up to $150,000 per image under copyright infringement laws.
This is not the first time Lopez has faced legal action over unauthorized photo sharing.
She has previously been involved in similar lawsuits regarding the use of copyrighted content without proper licensing.
