Ambassador Javed Malik, President of the Diplomat Business Club, welcomed the delegates, emphasizing the significance of having representatives from over 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Sweden, Turkey, Germany, South Africa, China, Japan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Russia, Pakistan, and Spain. This broad participation highlighted the Club’s position as a premier Business Diplomacy Forum in the region that facilitates crucial connections and collaborations, enabling business leaders to explore new avenues to expand their businesses and building new strategic alliances to explore innovative business ideas within the growing digital business landscape. In his address, Ambassador Malik stressed the transformative impact of digital innovation on global business and urged smart investors and business owners to embrace change by focusing on cutting-edge business ideas in fintech, blockchain, artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy, space technology, autonomous vehicles, clean energy, and quantum computing. These sectors, he noted, represent the future of business and offer immense growth potential. The forum also featured notable speakers and delegates including Italy’s Trade Commissioner Mr. Valerio Soldani, Deputy Consul General of the United Kingdom Alison Hall, as well as trade commissioners and chairmen of business councils from Sweden, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Serbia, Azerbaijan, and South Africa as well as officials from the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Speaking to the media, Ambassador Malik urged Pakistani tech businesses to be part of the digital revolution that is reshaping the global business landscape and in response to a question said that, he would be willing to support tech companies from Pakistan seeking to penetrate international markets, and that DBC global engagement team has been in discussions with Chambers of Commerce in Pakistan and various tech companies to facilitate them where possible either in seeking global alliances or exploring new markets.
