Jammu-based reserved category employees protest enters 43rd day

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the ongoing protest by Jammu-based reserved category employees in Jammu city entered 43rd day, today. The protesting employees posted in various districts of the Kashmir Valley are demanding immediate transfer to their respective home districts.

The protest at Ambedkar Chowk in Jammu city is being spearheaded by All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association.

The protesting employees raising slogans against the authorities said the present situation in the Valley is not conducive for them to work. They urged the authorities to issue necessary orders as discussed during the meeting with their delegation in Jammu recently regarding their 3-point genuine demands. The demands include formation of a comprehensive time bound transfer policy, utilization of services of employees in their respective districts and not to pressurize the Jammu based employees to resume their duties under prevailing situation in the Kashmir Valley.

The employees collectively pledged to remain united and continue their protest till their genuine demands are fulfilled by the IIOJK administration.—KMS
